Lynne Peeples covers the intersection of the environment and public health at The Huffington Post. Previously, as a freelancer, she wrote for outlets including Scientific American, Reuters, Popular Science, Audubon Magazine, Anesthesiology News and Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. She completed a master's in "Science, Health and Environmental Reporting" from New York University, where she was the editor-in-chief of the program's web magazine, Scienceline, and interned at Scientific American and Audubon Magazine. Before NYU, Lynne worked for Harvard University crunching numbers for HIV clinical trials and environmental health studies, while teaching an introductory biostatistics course. She also holds a M.S. in Biostatistics from Harvard and a B.A. in Mathematics from St. Olaf College.
